1. Cosmetics

Cosmetics can really build up over the year. Make a conscious effort to go through cosmetics and throw out items that are empty, out of date or things you no longer wear. An acrylic organizer, pictured above, allows you to quickly grab, use and return. And everything has its place. I keep mine in the cabinet and pull it out when I need it. Amazon has so many options to choose from to meet your needs. I like to keep it simple but you may need more storage space.

2. Medicine Cabinet

Go through those meds! Whether you have an old school medicine cabinet, a drawer or a bin go through and check for dates. Use this time to refill on things used often so you are sure never to be without when in need. A master list for the medicine cabinet is a great tool to use when replacing items. A master list helps you remember to replace that bottle you used up and threw away last time the kids were sick.

3. Under the Bathroom Sink

Under the bathroom sink can fill up with all kinds of things. Half used bottles of shampoos and lotions, cleaners, finger nail polish, so many things can get lost under the sink and start to clutter those things you actually use. Make sure you have a designated spot for everything so it is not as easy to throw things in that don’t belong. Clear stackable drawers are great and keeps everything visible.

4. Under the Kitchen Sink

Start the year off right by freeing yourself of cleaners you no longer use, old kitchen towels that need to be replaced and refill and replenish the items that you use daily. When all your cleaners are organized and easy to get to life is so much easier. Create a clean, clear and easily accessible space. Wide and narrow clear bins are great for storing spray bottles and supplies.

5. Pantry

Go through your pantry and make sure that everything is in date. Wipe down sticky jars. Store flour, nuts and sugar in containers so they are easy to view and use. Get rid of the boxes and store snacks and breakfast items in easy access bins. Clear is best so everyone can see what is in them.
