My Top 5 Favorite Prepped & Waiting in the Fridge Essentials
1. Sweet Potatoes
Tip: Throw some sweet potatoes in the oven while making tonight’s dinner then store them in the fridge to use later as a side or take any type of protein and top the sweet potato with it and cheese and anything else you desire.
2. Quinoa or Rice
Tip: Use a rice cooker, crock pot or instant pot to make a batch of quinoa or rice to use throughout the week. Make dinner with it or pull it out for a quick lunch and top with protein and roasted veggies. I love putting quinoa on my salad for extra protein.
3. Burger Patties
Tip: Great lunch or snack, and I have even eaten with an egg for breakfast! My favorite lunch or snack is pull a patty out heat it spread goat cheese on top and eat with fresh bell pepper slices and carrots or whatever you prefer. Patties can be used for dinner in so many ways!
4. Roasted Veggies
Tip: Great for breakfast in an egg scramble…ready in minutes! The roasted veggies give breakfast a savory twist and leave you feeling energized. Top any salad with these veggies or use on the top of quinoa, rice or on the side with protein.
5. Salad Veggies
Tip: Salad is a staple in our home. Such a fast, crisp, refreshing and nourishing side dish. We pair just about anything with a salad. Make sure to prep up some cucumbers, cherry tomatoes, bell peppers, radishes, etc for salads made easy. Top with cheese and dressing of choice.
The kitchen is one of my most passionate subjects when it comes to living and living organized and efficiently. Life runs so much smoother when meals are easy and healthy. Providing nutritious healthy meals for my family is a priority but I do not want to spend all night tending the kitchen. Simple, efficient meals leads to less time cooking and cleaning up and more time for important things at days end.
