“I feel like I’m constantly behind.”
Sound familiar?!
Upstate Organized Living recently did a pantry & kitchen organizing session for an amazing family in Upstate Greenville who felt “defeated” when they got home from work to figure out snacks and dinner.
The husband and the wife are BOTH nurses. Together they have two little children and one on the way!! And a sweet dog. But with their schedules, usually one parent is home when the other is gone.
They needed a organized pantry system that worked with them rather than against them….
That’s where Upstate Organized Living came in. It’s my mission to make everyday life easier for real-life families.
Follow along to see how we transformed their pantry and their habits!!
THE BEFORE
Without a good system, food was getting lost. So they rebought it. And it got lost again. And went to waste….
The worst part was the mental load and the emotional load.
Mom and Dad were coming home from long nursing shifts and everything would be a mess. It wasn’t any fun cleaning up and organizing after working.
They want family time and rest, not time spent cleaning.
THE GOALS
#1 Have a functional system that everyone in the family can use.
#2 Not eat out as much.
Because our clients were overwhelmed with their pantry, they were eating out more than they wanted for the convenience.
Jessica and I knocked out this project in two and a half days.
We focused on decluttering the kitchen + pantry, sourcing the right containers, and installing a brand new system including labels, labels, and more labels!
One of my favorite parts of this process was mixing old & new containers. If you’ve been following along, you know what I believe about using products in client’s homes.

THE AFTER!!
And….. voila!!!
Remember those i-spy-the-difference puzzle you used to do with the magazines in the dentist’s office. Well, what differences do you spot in the after? Did you catch the new containers mixed with the old containers?
Here’s the text I got from our client after we finished her project:
That is what it’s all about!!!!!!
